Travel scholarship success for Eleni

Eleni with child

Tuesday the 27th of October saw members of the Worshipful Livery Company of Wales, faculty staff and students gather in the boardroom on the Caerleon main campus, to celebrate the work of MA Music Therapy student Eleni Tsolkas.

Eleni had been successful in winning the Livery Company's annual travel scholarship of £1,000, which she had put towards travelling to Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, Eleni had been using her skills as a Music Therapy practitioner to help disadvantaged children to better communicate with the World they live in.

Eleni received a Music Therapy job offer via Skype, whilst in Palestine, and will be heading to her new job next month.

Do you have an idea for an exciting International project that would help you with your studies or future career?

Would you like £1,000 to help a dream become a reality?

The Worshipful Livery Company of Wales' Travel Scholarship will re-open for entries in 2016. Contact Katy Hales, Alumni Development Officer, for further information.
