Morgan Lowry, 1st year BA Advertising Design has been named as the winning designer of the 2015 #USWGradBag competition.
An initiative to connect the current student body with the graduating class and the alumni network; the competition invited students with creative flair to submit designs to feature on the 2015 Graduation tote bag.
Over 20 entries were received and with support from expert eye Patricia Brien, Senior Fashion Lecturer, entries were reduced to a quality shortlist of six. Voting was opened to the community via email and social channels, and Morgan's 'hats in the air' design ultimately claimed top spot with over 30% of votes.
When asked about the inspiration for her design, Morgan commented: "It was quite simple really. When I think of graduation time, I've always thought of throwing mortar boards up in the air. The day is all about celebrating after all and what better way to mark the end of studies!"
While end of studies is a couple of years away for Morgan, she has set her sights on working in a large London advertising agency after her own graduation in 2017.
With over 6000 students graduating in either our July or December ceremonies, the 2015 design will be sure to travel far and wide as our graduates make their way in the world - in the UK and overseas.
