Project managers are usually involved with a project throughout its lifecycle; from early feasibility and design stages, through to construction and handover. This RICS-accredited Project Management degree prepares you for a variety of project management roles in the construction industry. You will develop core project management skills that reflect the needs of the profession, such as programming and planning, project administration, risk management, construction technology, contract practice, health and safety, sustainability, and managing people.
You will study the latest practice and procedures for the project management of new-build and refurbishment projects. Your studies will cover industrial initiatives such as strategic partnering and collaboration, prefabrication and offsite manufacture, Building Information Modelling (BIM), and dispute resolution. You will also learn how to apply critical thinking to your experiences, which will help you work towards continuous professional development.

Your Project Management Surveying degree will allow you to manage effectively the range of tasks involved in a construction project. You’ll be able to take responsibility for time, quality, and health and safety, and overcome the challenges of new-build or refurbishment projects.

The Project Management degree is taught through a combination of lectures, seminars and tutorials. You will also get chance to participate in numerous site visits to local companies allowing you to see how the theory is applied in a professional setting.
In addition to this you will work independently to prepare for classes and complete project work.
Your assessments will involve examinations, coursework and problem-based exercises taught using real-life scenarios.

In most cases they are more than sufficient to complete a course of study. Where there are additional costs, either obligatory or optional, these are detailed below.
