Here you can find out what’s happening on the day at the Cardiff Campus. From subject talks and tours to directions and when to arrive.
We’ve got a number of recommended talks scheduled throughout the day to give you an insight into life on campus.
Start your day by finding out what the University of South Wales has to offer you in our Welcome talk followed by plenty of optional extras including a welsh provision talk, a Q & A with senior staff here in Cardiff, plus the chance to hear about student finance, accommodation and student life - check your programme for full details.
How much will university cost and how will you pay for it? Get a practical insight into financial support, such as student loans and grants, how and when to apply for funding, and extra sources of income.
Find out all you need to know about accommodation options at the University of South Wales. Where you live is just as important as what you learn, and we want this to be your home from home.
In this session, our students share their experiences of life at the University of South Wales, so you know what it’s really like to study here – they’ll answer any questions you may have too.
You’ve probably got lots of questions about becoming a student at the University of South Wales – that’s great! At our Open Day there will be just the right people to answer them.
Subject advice on our courses, student finance, accommodation, careers, disability, dyslexia support and applying to university are all covered as part of the day. Our friendly staff will be available in the foyer, providing you with the perfect opportunity to ask any questions on a one-to-one basis.
Note: Subject advice stands are only available from 1pm.
Get a feel for what it’s like to be a student here and take the time to explore. We have TWO FULL TOURS during our Open Day, which leave at 8.30am and 3.30pm. These take around 1 hour. You can also explore specific facilities as part of your subject session, but if you feel you've missed anything or want to see more, feel free to ask one of our Open Day team on the day.
Travel information and directions to our Cardiff Campus, can be found on our website: www.southwales.ac.uk/visiting.
If you’re coming by car, there's no parking available on campus. However, if you check the campus map on your programme you'll find car parks close by – there’s one directly opposite the ATRiuM building, on Adam Street.
If you’re coming by train, Cardiff Central station is just ten minutes’ walk from the ATRiuM building, while Cardiff Queen Street station is only a two minute walk.
