Performance and Media student Charlie Noakes became star of the USW Christmas video, just a term into his studies at the University. We talked to him about his first term and his starring role...
"My first term at USW has been more than I ever could have asked for. The university has really allowed me to express myself from the incredibly positive atmosphere and friendliness from fellow students and staff. I'm mostly enjoying getting involved with all kinds of filming opportunities that the university presents for us students.
Originally I was scared moving to a huge city like Cardiff as I've lived in rural areas my entire life, but I've learned to love Cardiff quickly as it is a wonderful city were everyone is really kind. It's really accessible with the University and accommodation being so close to the city centre.
The Performance and Media course leader, Sarah Crews posted about the opportunity to star in the University’s Christmas video on our course Facebook group, and I jumped at the chance. It was really fun to be part of and I loved the final film!
I can’t wait for the second term to start now. I'm looking forward to learning about all the behind the scenes technology on the course, as it will enable us to start editing and producing our very own films."
