After submitting your application, our Enquiries & Admissions team will assess your application based on your suitability for your chosen course.
We’ll let you know our decision by email, so add ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’ or ' email@example.com' (if you're an international student) to your email address book to ensure you don’t miss it.
After applying to the University of South Wales, our Admissions Team will assess your application based on your suitability for your chosen course. This will include your academic qualifications, relevant work experience and any other information in your personal statement.
We will then get back to you with one of the following responses:
You may also be invited to attend an applicant day, which will give you a great opportunity to find out more about your chosen course, speak to your tutors and meet other students who will be studying with you. You should make every effort to attend these events, even if you have already been to an Open Day.
If you have already submitted your online application but have additional information that you wish to send us to support it, you can do this by this by e-mailing it to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are a UK or EU applicant, or to email@example.com if you are an international applicant. Please include your name, personal ID and the name of the course you've applied for in your email.
As part of your application, you may also be invited to attend an Applicant Day or an Interview. You should make every effort to attend these events to learn even more about your course and to get to know the people who’ll be teaching you. If your course requires an interview, this is also one of the ways that we will assess your application.

If you’ve received an offer to study at USW, you’ll need to accept it as soon as possible to secure your place.
If you've applied through UCAS, you accept the offer on the UCAS Track page.
Details of the types of offers you can receive, along with guidelines and important deadlines, can be found on the UCAS website. It's important that you reply to your offers by the deadline specified, or all of your offers will be declined by UCAS.
If you are certain that you would like to accept our offer, but you have yet to receive replies from all of your Universities, you can do this by cancelling your outstanding choices. This step cannot be reversed, so you should ensure that your mind is fully made up.
If you've applied directly, you can accept it on the My USW portal by clicking on My Applications and clicking on the relevant button.
If you are still holding a conditional offer based on your exam results, you’ll need to send us your results as soon as you receive them. Send a copy to firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting your personal ID number. This will enable us to confirm your application as an unconditional firm offer.
Once you have an unconditional firm offer – congratulations - your place at USW is confirmed! You’ll receive details about enrolment and freshers’ week from August onwards, along with confirmation of any accommodation that you’ve applied for.
