Higher Education at local colleges

If you want to achieve your ambitions, but don’t quite have the right qualifications for a university degree, or if you have work or family commitments that mean you need to study closer to home, we have plenty of options for you.

The University of South Wales has a strategic alliance with five colleges throughout south east Wales. This alliance means you can study our courses at college campuses local to you. You’ll still be a University of South Wales student and achieve a university qualification, but you’ll study in a location that’s convenient for you. With a range of qualifications, including Foundation Degrees, HNCs and HNDs, and many subject areas to choose from, you’re sure to find the course you need.

Please not that the UHOVI project has now ended, but you can still study a range of university courses at partner colleges.

Another huge benefit of studying a University of South Wales course at your local college is that you can progress to our full range of awards, and gain an even higher level qualification at your college or at one of the University’s campuses in south Wales. Students who progress enjoy their studies and gain rewarding careers after they graduate.
As a University of South Wales student you will be able to access our online library and learning resources, and can have membership of our Students’ Union. Your programme will have a University link officer and you will have access to
talks and advice from our progression and liaison officers, as well as priority booking on our open and visit days. You will also be able to undertake our unique Grad Edge Award, which helps develop your employability skills.
