Public and Emergency Services

Public and emergency services are vital to society and our everyday lives. From refuse and recycling to 999 calls, without them we’d be in big trouble.

Our courses give you an insight into what it takes to run these services we rely on. Looking at issues of power and decision-making, you’ll investigate how decisions come about, who makes them and what difference they make in the real world.

Staff teaching public services at the University of South Wales have years of experience in delivering awards for the public sector, all of whom have a strong research profile in the field. Both friendly and inclusive, we provide an environment that ensures students achieve the outcomes they deserve.

The seminar series of the University’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Public Policy provides a forum for debate with visiting professors and contributors, from distinguished individuals to the leading minds of organisations such as the IPPR and Nesta.
