We couldn’t be based in a better location to embrace city life in Newport. Plus, the Halls of Residence are just a few minutes’ walk away, which is great for those want a lie in!

Newport Campus is home to a wide range of subject areas, so you’ll benefit from studying in a diverse atmosphere. We’re continually improving facilities – there’s a new Starbucks, a student union, plenty of study spaces and more developments to come.

Accommodation in Newport

Living in Halls is a big part of the student experience – it’s much more than just a place to stay and we can make you feel right at home.

There are lots of accommodation options at USW, so you can choose what suits you best. We can also offer lots of advice on finding private rental properties if you would prefer not to live in Halls.

DIRECTIONS

Newport is only two hours away from London via the M4, while other motorways and dual carriageways connect Newport with the North, Midlands, South East and South West England and West Wales.

The postcode is NP20 2BP.

Parking

There are a number of multi-storey car parks situated around the City Campus and the Kingsway car park is opposite.

If travelling by rail, the City Campus is approximately 5 – 10 minutes walk away from the train station. 

There are excellent Intercity services to Newport from all major cities. London is one hour and forty minutes away and Birmingham two hours by high speed trains which operate hourly. 

For those travelling to the City Campus by foot directions are available which takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes.

Newport is served by regular National Express Coaches from London, West Wales, the North, Midlands and South West England. 

There is also a direct service from Heathrow, Gatwick and Bristol Airports.

Cardiff International Airport is 27 miles from the campus and is serviced by regular bus and rail links. 

London’s Heathrow airport is about two-and-a-half hour drive away and there is also an airport at Bristol.
