Paula took up the role of Executive Director of Planning, Performance and Transformation in January 2025.
Paula first joined the University of Glamorgan in 1993, following completion of her degree in Accounting & Finance, as part of the first graduates from the new university. Paula has worked in a number of roles including student administration, quality assurance and a variety of faculty-based roles cumulating with her role as Head of Administration (now Faculty Chief Operating Officer) which she undertook from 2006 to 2012. In 2012 she moved into the role of Director of Student Growth and was project manager for the integration of the new University of South Wales, heading up several projects during the first few years of the establishment of the university.
Paula’s role developed into Director of Planning and Performance with Transformation and Reaching Wider being added to her portfolio in early 2022.
Paula has a range of external roles including Co-chair of the Welsh Planners Group, Member of the Higher Education Strategic Planners Association (HESPA) Executive Board, Member of HESPA Data Group (HEDIG) and Chair of the HESPA Special Interest Group for Workload Management.
