The BA
(Hons) Early Years Education and Practice (with Early Years Practitioner
status) degree focuses on working with children from birth to eight years, equipping students with the skill and understanding to support the learning and development needs of young children. On this course, students will undertake work placement opportunities in a variety of settings including nurseries, schools, alternative educational settings, and also in some of our partner work placement providers such as Natural Resources Wales. The degree is recognised by Social Care Wales, and students graduating from this course will achieve Early Years Practitioner Status, alongside their academic qualifications.
Students studying this course can also gain additional qualifications and training, including Apple Teacher, Google Teacher, Safeguarding, First Aid and Physical Literacy.
Graduates from this course are currently working in schools, nurseries, children’s charities and integrated children’s centres, hospitals, central government, wildlife trusts, museums, community and voluntary organisations, and universities and corporations.
