We would like to invite you to our Nursing and Midwifery event on Wednesday 9th November, 9.30am – 2.30pm at our Lower Glyntaff Campus, CF37 4BE.  

This event is designed for Access Students who are looking at progressing into Nursing, Midwifery or the Allied Health Professions.

Throughout the day, students will gain further insight into our courses by participating in:

• Introductions to Nursing and Midwifery at the University of South Wales and meeting with our staff and students who will be happy to answer any questions.

• Healthcare facilities tour including our Clinical Simulation Centre. Feel immersed in real-world healthcare setting and get a flavour of our simulated learning environments .

• Hands-on activities which include practicing how to perform a nasal gastric insertion, taking blood pressure and injection techniques!  

• Application workshop where we will provide advice, guidance and top tips to support students with their nursing or midwifery applications, making them the best they can be.  

This is an excellent opportunity for your students to gain valuable experiences relevant to their current courses and will hopefully bring more clarity to their next steps and future career pathways. 

We have a limited number of allocated spaces available therefor we encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible! Please note the deadline for this is 31/10/22

These informative events are an ideal opportunity  to attend a virtual tour of our simulation centre hear about a range of Allied Health Professions including more about the nursing and midwifery courses offered by the University of South Wales, along with Operating Department Practice, Health and Social Care Management. We will have current nursing and midwifery students present at each event,  to share insight into their experiences, and will be able to answer any questions your students may have relating to the courses, work placements, student life, finance etc.
