Introducing the new digital magazine for alumni and friends
15-12-2020
Welcome to the first edition of Luminate - the new, online magazine for Alumni and Friends of the University of South Wales.
Luminate provides a spotlight on community stories, University research, altruism and collaborations from across our global network. Experience better tomorrow’s, starting today.
Sitting alongside the quarterly e-Luminate community email; Luminate's format allows us to provide a greater variety of interactive content and each edition allows you to easily Read, Watch or Listen.
As our editions increase, content will be tagged by theme allowing for crosscutting interests in research, news, volunteering and more.
Our new online format also means that Luminate is accessible from wherever you are, on whatever device suits you best. We've also introduced social media share buttons - making it easy to share content with friends and network contacts.
As a digital magazine, Luminate represents a step forward in the University's alumni communications and has been devised through insights gathered from recent graduate surveys and a strategic review of activity in 2018.
Rachael Barker, Head of Alumni Relations and Development adds: "Luminate is the culmination of an insightful journey to better engage and understand the needs of our graduate audience. The first in a series of improved communications specifically devised for the network, our new digital magazine aims to connect our global USW Family, bringing readers the latest news, views and research from across campus. We hope our graduates enjoy our new online publication!"
Even a quick glance through Luminate brings home just how impactful USW graduates are in their respective fields - and how much they are already inspiring the next generation of USW students. Whether directing films in India or publishing their latest book, making waves in self employment or pursuing a career in academia; USW alumni continue to shine.
Help us keep USW stories at the heart of our vibrant community. Submit your latest online or drop us an email to let us know your latest. Let us know what you think of the first edition.
