University of South Wales (USW) is proud to announce an industry partnership with Grammy-nominated producer, engineer and mixer - and alumnus - Romesh Dodangoda who will bring his considerable experience to a new programme.

The BA (Hons) Music Producing Degree is a practical programme and fast-tracked learning experience, giving students access to USW’s innovative studio facilities and collaborative learning environment. It is designed to nurture the skillset of the next generation of producers in creative industries like music, film, television, and game audio.

Romesh, who has worked with many artists including Motorhead, Bring Me The Horizon and Funeral for a Friend, will bring his expert knowledge to the new course through a series of bespoke briefs, masterclasses and the Romesh Dodangoda Graduate Award for Excellence, which will annually celebrate level 6 major project work, offering not only a prestigious accolade but also an internship with Romesh's Long Wave Recording Studio where many hit singles have been recorded.

To launch the partnership, USW is hosting a week of activities from 8 February to celebrate, including guest lectures, interviews and inspiration from our most successful graduates.

The week includes a masterclass with Romesh on Wednesday 10 February from his Long Wave Studio and is open to the wider music community. Free tickets are available here

Romesh Dodangoda said: “BA (Hons) Music Producing is an exciting new programme developed by USW to provide a fast-tracked learning experience into the professional world of creative music production. I have curated a series of masterclasses with the course team that will develop the relevant skills needed in today’s industry and I am honoured to endorse this degree with the Romesh Dodangoda Graduate Award for Excellence."
