As a part of USW Exchange's business growth and support activity we are delivering our Access to Experts (A2E) series. A2E involves free workshops with industry experts, one-to-one clinics and themed networking events.

Workshop Summary:

This session is aimed at HR professionals, in-house recruiters and business leaders and gives insight into the recruitment process and what it looks like today.

It will cover some key areas for consideration including how to effectively attract top talent. It’s no longer a case of placing an advert on your website and hoping for the best, there is fierce competition for companies looking to recruit the right people.

Overview of the session:

  • How to attract top talent
  • Inside the mind of the job seeker
  • Generational insight
  • Role of the hiring manager
  • Recruitment and technology

Join us for refreshments from 15:30 to connect and network with other attendees before this workshop commences at 16:00.

About the Facilitators: Sitka Recruitment

Karen Birch & Ita McNeil-Jones have over 30 years’ experience of in-house, executive search and traditional recruitment. They set up Sitka just over a year ago after recognising a gap in the market for a firm that offered a true personal service at management and director level. Their clients include Creditsafe, Ty Hafan and Acuity Legal.

They have witnessed dramatic changes over the past 20 years in both how organisations recruit and how candidates search for a new job. They are keen to share their thoughts with individuals who are finding difficulty grasping the ever-changing challenges that recruitment can bring.
