Visit our USW Enterprise web pages for handy hints and tips linked to pursuing a more entrepreneurial future. More.

Do you already have my contact details or do I need to submit my info to remain in touch with the Uni ?

Graduates attending their graduation were invited to provide amended contact details as part of the graduation event process. Also as part of this, graduates were invited to confirm communication preferences for email, post, mobile and text.

The Alumni Relations Office will take receipt of these preferences following graduation. If you did not give consent for us to contact you via one, more or all of the channels, you won't hear from us. If you advised that you were happy to hear from us via one, more or all channels then there's nothing else for you to do. You'll be hearing from us shortly.

I provided my communication preferences but I've changed my mind

Graduates can at any time amend their communication preferences - whether you wish to ensure you do hear from us, or perhaps because you no longer wish to hear from us. We're happy to process your request. Submit your wishes online. If you change your mind in the future, just let us know and we can update the database to reflect your wishes at that time.

When can I expect to hear from the University next

As a graduate who is happy to hear from us, you will start to receive regular e-communications helping you keep connected to your network. You can also always visit us online to view the latest events and opportunities you may be interested in.

What's the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey all about?

Supported by USW Careers, the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DHLE) survey is a national initiative completed by all UK HE institutions and collects data from recent graduates who are 6 months out. Data is submitted to HESA anonymously and feeds into statistical information that's published for individual courses and league tables. Info submitted helps to inform prospective USW students and academic research. You should expect to be contacted by USW Careers between November and March following Summer graduation. Find out more about the DHLE survey from USW Careers.

What else can you tell me about how my data is collected and used?

Further detail about how we collected and use your data can be found online.

I've not yet secured a job, can the University help?

As a graduate you can access free careers support from the Careers & Employability Service. Whether signing up to a one to one careers appointment, accessing the latest job vacancies or attending one of our many careers events, check out the latest online.

I forgot to buy some merchandise on the day. Am I still able to view the range?

The latest USW alumni gift range is always available during summer and winter Graduations and can also be ordered over the phone or online.

Profits from every purchase are donated back to our fund to help support the student experience Fund.

I'm missing uni already. When can we have our first reunion?

The Alumni Office can help graduates organise class reunions and they typically start from one year out from graduation. We invite cohorts thinking of arranging a reunion to join our annual Alumni Big Weekend, held each June, as you'll be able to take advantage of campus tours, lectures and more.

I've not received my graduation certificate - help!

Please contact Student Administration who will be able to help you.

I'd like to connect with the alumni network on social media - how do I do this?

We're across social media, so check out your channel of choice online.
