We came, dined, wined, laughed, talked and took pictures like the family we are.
Held between 9 and 16 June, three events were held in Nigeria and were supported by local alumni in Abuja, Benin City and Lagos.
As reported by graduates in Abuja "We came, dined, wined, laughed, talked and took pictures like the family we are. Churchill Oboh joined us from Benin while Omoruyi I. Hope joined from Lagos. We hope that we have an even bigger crowd next year - roll on 2018! "
Katy Hales, coordinator of USW international alumni neworks comments: "The University of South Wales is delighted to maintain connections with its graduates across the world. Whether UK nationals now living overseas, or international students who have either returned home or who are progressing their career elsewhere in the world.
Through events such as USW Big Weekend or occasions we deliver in partnership with the International Office, international alumni are vital to the work we do overseas for recruitment, for industry partnerships and for supporting current international students who will shortly be graduating.
Without the support of our international graduate volunteers, events such as Big Weekend Worldwide simply wouldn't be possible, so thank you!"
The University extends particular thanks to Nigeria group hosts, Collins Nnamani (Abuja), Churchill Oboh (Benin City) and Claire Awele (Lagos).
