A Gathering in Gaborone

Gaborone Gathering

More than thirty alumni, friends and guests of the University of South Wales came together in Gaborone in December to reunite with fellow classmates, to network with other local graduates and to stay connected to their Alma Mater.

The drinks reception, on December 4th 2017, at the Cresta Presidential Hotel in Gaborone, was a great success as the University continues to develop relationships with students, supporters and alumni from all over the world. Alumni from all disciplines came together to exchange stories of life since graduation and catch up with old friends and staff from the University.

Richard Stacey, USW International Recruitment Officer and host of the event said "It was just fantastic to meet so many of our alumni in Gaborone. Everyone was still really enthusiastic about their time studying at USW and it's always a pleasure to hear such positive feedback from students. They all had positive stories to tell and this was a great opportunity for them to relive and share their experiences."

As we look to continue to build relationships with our Alumni and to encourage our alumni to come together and celebrate their successes with us, these types of events will hopefully become more and more frequent, particularly with our annual Alumni Big Weekend quickly becoming a global event.

Over the Alumni Big Weekend: Worldwide this June, you too could be reuniting with your classmates and celebrating your own successes since graduation!
