In association with Academi Wales, we are delighted to present our sixth annual coaching conference, bringing together some of the world’s leading practitioners and academics in the field of coaching.
The 2019 Wales Coaching Conference kicked off with USW's Coaching Centre Lead, Dave Tee. He shared the news that the event had the biggest audience yet, with 220 delegates in attendance at the beautiful Vale Resort. Next, we received an opening address from Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Sara Owen, she spoke about her experience of coaching, saying “it was the most helpful thing I have received in my career”. Followed proudly by our conference supporter, Academi Wales' Director, Jo Hicks, who challenged coaches to 'be better than average'.
A total of 12 expert masterclasses was delivered, covering topics from 'Mental Toughness' to ‘Neuro application in coaching’, topped off with 2 riveting keynotes from coaching experts and author’s, Julie Starr and Dr. Catherine Sandler. If you want a more detailed round-up of the day, masterclass speaker, Paul Laughlin has shared his thoughts here.
We’re pleased to announce that next year’s conference will be on Thursday 5th March. We hope to see you all there and will be announcing dates and keynote speakers in the autumn. In the meantime, keep an eye out for all our professional development opportunities, and plenty more to come from the Wales Coaching Centre
