Our Developing Entrepreneurial Women Programme, delivered in partnership with NatWest Cymru, has supported many female founders on their start up journey.
From gaining financial and legal know-how, to developing a marketing strategy, the women on our programme have not only received technical knowledge to help to launch their start-up, they have also benefited from a supportive community of female founders. On this page we have showcased some of the thriving business ventures, and the inspiring women behind them.

Rock-up Ready
Rock-up Ready equips music industry professionals with mental health survival skills and emotional support.
Founder April Donnelly said: “Before starting the Developing Entrepreneurial Women course I had resigned myself to looking for a job at the end of my degree. These last six weeks have given me the tools and mindset to follow my dream of launching my business."

Clarity at Work
Clarity at Work provides intense 2-day coaching packages that take people from being stuck to taking meaningful action.
Founder Laura Kingdon said: "Prior to the Developing Entrepreneurial Women programme, I felt out of my depth as a business owner. I struggled to price my product let alone market it to others. I now have a regular income and am considering how I’ll fund and grow my venture in years to come. Each session inspired me and helped build my confidence."

Lexical Peaks
Lexical Peaks provides proofreading and copyediting, with genuine care and enthusiasm for your writing. The business works across all genres and materials, with a specialism in fiction and outdoor literature.
Founder Philippa Lewis said: "I've found the course so worthwhile, particularly for helping me refine my pitch and helping me rethink my approach to marketing. It's also been really valuable to connect to other women at similar points in their careers. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone starting out with a new business."

Midwest in South Wales
Midwest in South Wales is an online blog publishing classic American food for British home cooks.
Founder Jo Scott said: "Before the course I was stuck in a cycle of thinking, I had lots of ideas but was struggling on how to even start. By attending the masterclasses and listening to others who have been in my shoes tell me to “just do it”, I made some real action happen. Within a week of the first masterclass I had registered my domain, and within 12 weeks I had built and launched my American food website for British home cooks."

Unstoppable Success Coaching Ltd
Career coaching in South Wales, taking talented professionals from stuck to unstoppable.
Founder Cat Perkins said: "I have extremely enjoyed the USW programme. The resources made available to a start up business for free have been amazing, and I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity and to learn from so many great guests and speakers. The community has been a brilliant part of this and have made some great connections to support me on the business journey. People can be tricky; employment law can be a minefield! Honest Rebel is here to observe, empower & elevate the independent music scene. Artist services and official merchandise available.

Pethau Papur provides stylish stationery to brighten up your desk and your day! Pethau Papur is a Welsh language stationery brand, with all products printed on 100% recycled paper.

Family Pathway
We provide a bespoke coaching service to empower individual children, parents and neuro-diverse adults to achieve their potential and thrive.

The Welsh Collective
The Welsh Collective aims to bring small businesses together through the power of short videos (TikTok and Instagram).

As a graduate startup, we learnt a lot about the UK business ecosystem as international graduates and applied this knowledge in starting a business here in the UK. Annmarie James Spiritual Alchemist
Annmarie coaches and mentors spiritually stuck ambitious female entrepreneurs to discover and develop their innate intuitive abilities to improve their personal and professional lives.

Catherine is a qualified freelance translator working from French and Spanish to English. She offers translation, proofreading, revision, transcription and subtitling.

- No Broccoli Allowed. A comical diet book for women. Scientific principles in a fun educated way.
- PlayThru. PlayThru is an web-based application that provides digital tools for classroom gamification.
- Cup of Daisies. We design silk scarves donating 10% to chosen charities.
