We also know that trying to secure accommodation in the Clearing period can be a daunting prospect. Thats why we offer Guaranteed Accommodation to USW applicants who confirm their place by Friday 22 August.*

  • Our Mountain Halls studios are ideal for mature students, postgrads and couples. Each studio has a double bed, en-suite and its own kitted-out kitchenette.

Treforest Accommodation Block

Travel and Living Costs Bursary

Clearing applicants that are studying in Cardiff and living at our Treforest campus could receive a £500 bursary.

Accommodation Guarantee Terms and Conditions

  1. Students must have confirmed their offer by 5pm, Friday 22 August. 
  2. An application for accommodation must have been received by 5pm, Wednesday 27 August. 
  3. We have limited availability, and accommodation can only be guaranteed while stocks last. We will operate a first come, first served approach. 
  4. We guarantee a single, en-suite room at our Treforest campus only. 
  5. Contracts for accommodation will need to be signed and any fees paid within the specified time stated in the offer. 
  6. USW Accommodation Service reserves the right to withdraw an offer of accommodation and offer it to another student if a contract has not been confirmed within the given times. 
  7. The following applicants are eligible for USW’s Guaranteed Accommodation in Clearing: 
  • First year applicants 
  • UK and International applicants 
  • Undergraduate and postgraduate applicants 
  • Part-time and full-time course applicants 

Applicants that wish to secure accommodation within Cardiff city centre are advised to source a room independently. There are a number of private accommodation providers** including:
