Provisional Grades FAQs

Please be advised the below FAQs apply only to Welsh students studying in Wales. Students outside Wales will not be receiving provisional results and so the following is not applicable to English, Irish or Scottish applicants.

Congratulations on your provisional results. We will be updating all offers on the 10th August when the confirmed results are released. Please continue to check your UCAS Track and emails for updates on your application. In the meantime, you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Don’t panic! We consider all applications on an individual basis. As soon as the confirmed  results are released on 10th August we will be updating all offers. If you have not met the conditions of your offer with your confirmed results and we cannot confirm your place onto your course, we may be able to consider you for an alternative similar course.  Please continue to check your UCAS Track and emails for updates on your application. In the meantime, you can contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

No, not at all. As you have received an unconditional offer from us this will not change. If you have accepted the University as your first choice, your place is secure and you will receive your enrolment and induction information in August.

If you have submitted an application via UCAS this year to other Universities and have used all of your 5 choices, you can add a new choice through UCAS Extra (or Clearing after 30th June) providing you have received decisions from all five and weren’t accepted, or if you withdrew from any choices or declined all 5 offers. If you did not use all 5 choices, you can add USW onto your UCAS application as a new choice. If you only applied to one University, you will need to pay the additional fee to UCAS before they will release your application for Clearing. Once we have received your application we will consider this as soon as possible.  If a conditional offer is made, we will update your offer on 10th August once we have received your confirmed results. If you have further questions regarding one of our courses, please contact our Enquiries and Admissions team at [email protected]

Please contact our Enquiries and Admissions Team to register your details and tell us which course you are interested in.  We will then contact you on 10th August to find out your confirmed results and talk you through your options. Alternatively, you can sign up for our clearing fast-track service here and we will contact you on 10th August to talk you through your options.
