Daniel Leaman’s hard work has paid off after becoming a freelance 3D environment artist for Auroch Digital, graduating with a first-class honours degree in 2015.
Daniel’s Game Art degree helped set him up for us current role, building up his skillset throughout his studies, "The University of South Wales Game Art course gave me the support and help needed to achieve a great craft and skill. The university provided the right structure and environment needed to learn and develop as a 3D artist. The lecturers keep you on track and are extremely encouraging. I also found that being surrounded by like-minded students is a real boost of creativity. If you’re willing to put the hours in, there’s a lot you can gain from this course."
Auroch Digital is based at the Bristol Games Hub, a non-profit organization that provides working space for student game developers and academics to meet and develop ideas, just a short train ride from Cardiff Central train station.
BA (Hons) Game Art course leader Simon Reed added, “It's great to see that talent, hard work and effort has paid off for Daniel. It's typical of the type of progression I expect from the graduates and what industry expects from them.”
