Sarah Gallimore is an aspiring intellectual property and data protection solicitor, who is just finishing her master's degree in Legal Technology at the University of Law. 

Sarah originally saw herself working in event management, but she discovered a new passion during her time at USW:

"Throughout the second year of the Music Business degree, we learnt about contracts and intellectual property law surrounding the music industry. I picked it up fairly quickly and found it completely fascinating.
One of the core texts for those modules was Ann Harrison's book on music contracts and deals. This book inspired me so much that I decided to change my focus and pursue a career in intellectual property law.

USW was a rollercoaster: from discovering what I wanted to be to learning that I was capable of much more than I had ever realised

One of the best things about the Music Business course was the combination of practical experience with events, guest lectures and the unbelievable support that the lecturers provided to me and my coursemates. My experience at USW taught me to persevere and take advantage of every opportunity that came my way.

You never know what's going to happen

You can start the course feeling like you know exactly what you want to do when you graduate, but, you can have a complete turnaround and find something that interests and inspires you even more.
I started the course wanting to work in event management and finished having applied and been accepted to law school - you never know what's going to happen.

If I had to sum up my experience in one sentence it would be:
A rollercoaster of learning new things, discovering what I wanted to be and learning that I was capable of much more than I had ever realised."
