The School of Music and Sound is known for its strong links to industry and we are proud to offer an Educational Associate Programme with the Music Managers Forum (MMF), the largest representative body of music management in the world.
By working closely with the MMF and its members we bring extra ‘real world’ and hands-on experience to our students and help ensure that the next generation of managers, producers, engineers, artists, and performers are fully equipped to support and respond to the changing face of the music industry.
Developing practitioners who are ethical and knowledgeable advocates for change, fairness and transparency in industry practice is an important goal and this is aided by our associate partnership with the MMF.
Jayne Stynes, General Manager at the Music Managers Forum said:
"The MMF is really proud to be partnering with the University of South Wales on our Educational Associates Programme.
The Faculty of Creative Industries does some truly fantastic work and has created a real bridge between the Welsh music industry and the rest of the UK.
As well as unique initiatives like the Immersed! Festival that offer students real hands-on experience, the university's facilities, such as their recording studios, are also second to none.
The fact that so many students have gone on to enjoy successful and fulfilling careers is testament to the quality of courses they provide."
