USW is a creative hub, take every opportunity that comes your way

Singer-songwriter Foxxglove has gone from strength to strength since graduating from USW in 2019. She's been selected for funding from BBC Horizons Launchpad and is joining the lineup for Focus Wales in 2021. The future is looking bright for this young artist from the Rhondda.
From working on her artistry to creating new material, Foxxglove talks to us about the importance of self-promotion and cracking the music industry.
“Since graduating, I’ve been spending a lot of time on Foxxglove the artist, working on singles and new material and will be releasing a music video very soon.
At USW, the ATRiuM facilities are amazing! You can rent studio space for free while studying at the same time.
Networking at USW is fantastic – it’s a creative hub!
It's worth getting to know people and meeting with as many as possible. Especially, as the music business is a people industry.
One of the best ways to promote yourself is through social media. So, post as much as possible, focusing on creating good content.
If you’re thinking of applying for the Music and Sound degree at USW, go for it, taking any opportunity that's thrown your way.”
