  1. This is a professionally endorsed Youth and Community course - this means that you have the opportunity to gain a degree and a professional recognition. Students will be recognised as a professional practitioner on completion.

  2. A third of the course is practice based so you have hands-on experience of working with young people. You also have a  professional supervisor to offer you guidance on a one-to-one basis.

  3. All of the Youth and Community Work Team at USW come from a practice background, and most are still youth workers. This means our lectures are up-to-date and linked to current practice and policy.

  4. Staff in the Youth and Community Work Team take studying seriously and all are studying at Higher Education level themselves. Therefore, have a real empathy with students and what it’s like to study.
