Boost your Maths degree with statistical analysis training

Final-year students on our undergraduate degrees in mathematics are taught how to use the SAS (Statistical Analysis System) software suite to develop the data-science skills that employers need.

"Since using SAS, we’ve been able to shift the focus from studying theory on to application-based learning, which is much more relevant in the world of work,” said Mathematics lecturer, Dr Penny Holborn.

"Many local companies perform their analyses using SAS software, therefore having this training integrated into their degree studies gives USW graduates the edge over their peers and therefore improves their chances of securing graduate jobs.

By training our students on SAS during their maths degrees, we are helping them secure sought-after jobs," said Dr Penny Holborn.
