Module: Developing speed, agility and endurance

Speed is often considered a key contributor to elite performance in a range of sports. In reality, pure running speed needs to be combined with the ability to utilise it repeatedly in the context of a game, and to combine it effectively with agility.
This module, being one of only a few modules on any course totally dedicated to these aspects of performance, provides students with a deep insight into the factors that affect speed, agility and endurance.
Critically, it is also designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the design and delivery of effective sessions dedicated to developing high levels of speed, agility and endurance.
Students completing the module will be provided with all the key skills required to deliver effective speed, agility and endurance sessions and programmes to a wide variety of athletes.
