Chiropractic is so much more than back cracking!

Rosie is studying Chiropractic.
"Chiropractic is so much more than back cracking! I love that there are so many paths you can go down after graduating, whether it is being a chiropractor with animals, sports, children and babies... the list goes on.
In our chiropractic training, we look at the patient as a whole, so you cover so much in the first three years. I think tying it all together is a really exciting time, as you realise how much you know. It's important to remember that in the first couple of years, there is a point to learning all the random things that you think may be irrelevant!
The final year of our chiropractic degree is spent treating patients in our outpatient clinic, which is the most incredible stepping stone from being a student who knows a bit, to a professional with experience.
In first and second year we had anatomy field trips to the cadaver labs at Bristol and Cardiff Universities; these are so helpful and informative. It is a little bit strange to be dealing with the cadavers but you soon get used to it; we are all rather jealous of the medical students having access to it every week!
I am looking forward to our hospital placement, where we shadow orthopaedic consultants and surgeries.
Chiropractors have a skill set not held by many people, so getting a job after graduation is never a problem. I want to be an equine chiropractor and work with horses."
