Meet the MSc HRM teaching staff
Hazel Mawdsley is a Lecturer in HRM. Her specialist areas include international HR, employee relations and business strategy. Hazel teaches on modules, Developing Skills for Business Leadership and Understanding and Managing Change. Hazel is research active in employee relations - the topic for her PhD. Her focus is on workplace bullying and harassment.
Dr Caryn Cook
Dr Caryn Cook is a Senior Lecturer in HRM. Her research interests include employee relations, international HRM, strategic HRM, convergence theory, social capital and HRM in a Post-Soviet Baltic State. Caryn is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and a Fellow of the HEA.
Kevin Brown is a Senior Lecturer in HRM and has been teaching for 10 years. His areas of interest include leadership, followship, the future of work, as well as AI and automation. Kevin is undertaking research into auto-industrial workplaces and skills, alongside his work on the Leading, Managing and Developing People module, on the course.
Sian Jenkins is the MSc Human Resource Management Course Leader for the Newport City Campus. Sian has a background in occupational psychology, as well as HRM and so her main area of interest is organisational behaviour. She’s interested in factors influencing work performance, such as mental health issues, personality factors, emotional intelligence and employee wellbeing.
