Fundamentals of Menopause Medicine

This module provides a comprehensive overview of menopause, perimenopause, and premature ovarian insufficiency. It also delves into the systemic symptoms associated with menopause, such as skin changes and hot flushes.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

The aim of this module is to enable participants to develop expertise in hormone replacement therapies (HRT) for the management of menopause. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the principles underlying HRT, including its benefits, risks, indications, and contraindications. The module aims to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to personalise HRT regimens, monitor patient response, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Participants will critically evaluate the evidence base, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of HRT to make informed decisions and optimise patient outcomes.

Long-term Management of Menopause and Related Conditions

To provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage menopause in the long term and address related conditions. The module will focus on comprehensive long-term management strategies, including lifestyle modifications, non-hormonal treatments, and complementary therapies. Participants will explore the management of conditions such as osteoporosis and cardiovascular health in menopausal women. The aim is to equip healthcare professionals with the ability to develop personalised treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and provide ongoing care to optimise menopause management and improve patient outcomes.

You will be supported throughout your studies by a committed team of internationally recognised educational experts.

Our courses are conducted entirely online through self-directed distance learning. You’ll receive
guidance throughout your course with tutor-stimulated academic discussions, which are based on clinically-rich case scenarios.

These usually occur within groups of 10-20 students, allowing you to clearly communicate with both your tutor and fellow students.

Distance Online Delivery is a mode of delivery for an individual student who studies a course wholly online with no tuition delivered or supported through face-to-face approaches giving a strong element of control over time, place and pace of delivery.

English Language Requirements

Proficiency in the English Language is also essential to completing our courses. If English is NOT your first language, we ask for proof of competency during the application process. We are able to accept an IELTS overall score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 for each band) or an equivalent qualification.

Full-time fees are per year. Part-time fees are per 20 credits. Once enrolled, the fee will remain at the same rate throughout the duration of your study on this course.
