Dr Akram Hammoudeh is the Director of the University of South Wales, Dubai Campus, a role which involves an oversight and the strategic management of the campus.
A key part of Akram’s role involves engaging with a range of academic and industrial partners within the GCC, MENA and further afield international and portfolio developments. By building these partners, Akram is supporting the University of South Wales with the delivery of an integrated method of learning through education and experience.
Akram has worked at the University of South Wales since 1991. Prior to his current role, Akram held a number of senior management positions in the UK including course management, head of information and media technology field, divisional and deputy head of engineering. Alongside this, Akram worked as an external examiner for a number of UK and overseas HE institutions.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and an active member of the academic accreditation committee. He supervised and actively engaged with a number of PhD students and has published over 55 research papers.
