Dr Rita Al-jadiri is an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Lecturer and Course Leader at the USW Dubai campus, her main focus is providing a professional and employment-focused learning experience for students studying aircraft maintenance engineering. This involves providing high-quality teaching and excellent student experience.
Rita’s background is in electronic engineering. She received her BEng in electronic engineering from Emirates Aviation University in 2008, MBA in aviation management and Ph.D. in electronic engineering from Coventry University in 2010 and 2014 respectively. She recently completed her MA in education (coaching and mentoring) from Middlesex University. In 2005, she began her career at Emirates Aviation University. She taught several courses on electronic, electrical and control engineering and supervised several avionics engineering projects. She also worked as a program coordinator and faculty advisor for engineering foundation programs.
Being dedicated to the concept of engineering education, Rita is still active in the field and reflects this in to her teaching. In engineering, her research interests are energy harvesting systems, simulation, and modeling of power electronic systems, avionics technology and her interests in education are modern teaching techniques, engineering education and professional development of teaching faculty.
