Dr Zheng Liu is a lecturer on the MSc International Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Dr Liu teaches specifically on the module strategic operations management, which aims to provide students with an understanding of the relationship within the value chain between strategy, marketing, design, control, human resource, procurement and other interactions involved in the managing of operational activities.
Prior to joining the University, Zheng obtained a PhD degree in 2011 at the University of Cambridge, with the background of manufacturing and management. After graduation, she moved on to become a research associate at Kyoto University in Japan and later became a lecturer in business and management at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, P.R. China, where she taught modules relating to operations and international management.
Dr Zheng also teaches our UK-based students on modules including strategic operations management, innovation management and international business.
Since 2016, Zheng has been a visiting research fellow at the Centre of Innovation and Development at Nanjing University of Science and Technology, a leading research institution in China. As well as this, she conducts research specifically in the areas innovation ecosystem, innovation policy and the cultural industries.
