The University of South Wales Student ID card is multi purpose and acts as your University identification, library card, door entry card and allows you access to University services and facilities.
You’ll need to have enrolled online before your student ID card can be printed and issued.
Collecting your student ID card is the final step to enrolling at the University. Within 24 hours after you’ve enrolled online your card will be available for collection (please see designated collection points below) and scanning from the campus at which you will be studying. Scanning your student ID card will release payment of your student loan (if eligible).
If you have been approved for a maintenance loan by your Student Finance funding provider, here is information on when you will receive your loan.

Your student ID card should be valid for the course duration and you do not need to have your card scanned. If for any reason you require a new student ID card please call to the Advice Zones, at your campus of study.
As with the new student information above. If you have been approved for a Postgraduate Masters, or Doctorate Loan by your Student Finance funding provider, here is more information on when you will receive your loan.
Your Student ID card will be issued following your personal enrolment checks. Please ensure you attend Pontypridd Campus (refer to details below for dates/times/venue) for your checks to be carried out by a member of the Student Administration Team.
