Once you've passed your course we'll send you an unconditional offer letter to the same email address you used to apply for your Pathway Programme. If you're unsure which email this is, you can contact us for help.

Pay your Tuition Fees

You need to pay a 50% deposit of your tuition fees to USW before you can enrol on your undergraduate degree. Details of fees will be included in your unconditional offer letter, but annual fees are usually £13,700-£14,000, minus your scholarship, details of which will also be in your unconditional offer letter.

If you're paying your deposit from the UK, you can pay by credit or debit card via the USW payment portal. If a family member is paying your deposit from overseas, they should pay via CIBC - our approved payment partner that provides you with a fast, easy and secure method of sending international fee payments. The sooner you pay your deposit, the sooner you will be able to enrol.

If you have any questions about your fees or payment plans, email [email protected]

Enrol

Once we have received your deposit payment, you will receive an email in mid August to the same address we sent your unconditional offer to, asking you to enrol. The email will explain what you need to do to start your enrolment online, and what you will need to bring to campus to complete your enrolment, before starting your undergraduate programme.

Once you have enrolled you will need to set up a payment plan to pay the remainder of your fees in instalments, or you can pay the remainder in full if you prefer. If you pay all of your tuition fees within 14 days of the course start date on your unconditional offer letter you could be eligible for our Early Bird Discount of £300.

No - if you're already on a 3 to 4 year visa, you won't need to apply for another visa as your current visa will cover the duration of your studies at USW.

Pay your Tuition Fees

You need to pay a 50% deposit of your tuition fees to USW before we can issue your CAS which you will need to apply for your visa for your undergraduate programme. Details of fees will be included in your unconditional offer letter, but annual fees are usually £13,700-£14,000, minus your scholarship, details of which will also be in your unconditional offer letter.

If you're paying your deposit from the UK, you can pay by credit or debit card via the USW payment portal. The sooner you pay your deposit, the sooner you will be able to apply for your visa.

Apply for your Visa

You will need to apply for another visa to cover the duration of your studies with USW. Depending on the time between the end of your current visa and the start of your undergraduate programme, you may be able to remain in the UK to apply for your visa. If you are able to make your application in the UK, our Immigration and International Student Advice team (IISA) will make your visa application with you. If you need to return to your home country to make your visa application, IISA will provide advice and support to help you with this.

Enrol

If you are eligible to apply for your next visa in the UK, you will be able to enrol once you have submitted your visa application. IISA will explain what you need to do to enrol. If you need to make your visa application in your home country, you won’t be able to enrol until you return to the UK, so we recommend travelling as soon as possible after receiving your visa as you will need to enrol before your course starts.

The University Immigration & International Student Advice (IISA) team will contact you before the summer to let you know how they can help and support you with your visa application.

If you would like to find out more or contact the team in the meantime, you will find full information here.

The University Immigration & International Student Advice (IISA) team will assist you at all points in your application and provide regular communication on the steps you need to take.

We'll be in touch

In April one of the advisers from IISA will email you. This adviser will be your named adviser who will assist you with all elements of your visa application.

You will work with your adviser to undertake a CAS Assessment which will determine how much money you will need to have available in your bank account to make your visa application, and they will confirm any documents you will need to have available.

Once this is confirmed you will need to:

  1. Put your money in your bank account, most students will need £9207 for living costs plus any unpaid tuition fees for the next course. This must be in your bank account for at least 28 days before we make your visa application. You should not remove the money until the new visa is granted.
  2. Gather the documents you need for your application
  3. Complete any follow up questions your named adviser asks you
  4. Attend a pre-application session with your adviser

Once your CAS has been issued your adviser will email you with a date and time for an appointment with them. It is important you attend this appointment with all your documents. At the appointment you will need to pay for the visa application.

Visa application costs

When applying for your visa in the UK the cost of the visa application will be £475.

You will also have to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge of £470 per year of visa granted. Your adviser will confirm the full cost of this at your first appointment.

You cannot use the money for your tuition fees and living costs to make the visa application payments and you will need to make sure you have extra money available to pay these costs.

Once you have made your visa application, your adviser will confirm the next steps. Most students will need to attend a biometrics appointment and your adviser will provide information on how you do this.

Your adviser will deal, in full, with any correspondence from UKVI, and once your visa is granted we will email you to confirm the outcome and what you need to do next. Standard applications take 8 weeks, so please do not worry if your application takes a few weeks to be processed.
