Christine Kariuki, BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology

At first, I was anxious about living life thousands of miles away from home, but within no time, I embraced it and now I am enjoying myself tremendously.

I am currently studying Business Information Technology. Studying at the University of South Wales has been such a lovely experience this far. For me and my personal deep interest in technology, the University of South Wales has been a particularly good home to develop my ideas and myself.

With amazing facilities, very active and helpful lecturers and teaching staff and a good study environment, the University provides you a perfect setting for your studies. The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science is diverse and broad, offering a range of varied courses to choose from, great technology and equipment to enhance your learning even further.

Besides study, I have had a brilliant chance to get myself involved in many extracurricular activities such as Golf and Hockey, which are fun and very indulging. Joining various societies and sports allows you to meet many new people, to share and learn from one another as well as to develop your skills. Wales has many wonderful locations to enjoy a lovely round of Golf as well as amazing scenery while enjoying the sport. I have met many people, made tonnes of friends and learnt a lot this far; it’s been an amazing experience.

Believe it or not, you don’t realise how fast the year passes and that’s when you get to remember the amazing experiences you have had.

University life is one which should be enjoyed and made memorable as it’s the stepping stone to reach your dream career. With the range of courses offered, I am certain that you will find South Wales to be a lovely university.
