Professor Martin Rhisiart, 1974-2017
It is with considerable sadness that the University receives the news that Professor Martin Rhisiart has passed away this week.
In a message to colleagues and students, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Julie Lydon, has said:
As a close University community we feel deeply the loss of Martin, as a valued colleague who was also a friend to many of us at USW.
Martin was Professor of Strategy and Innovation at our Business School, and Director of the Centre for Research in Futures and Innovation. His research and teaching had a major influence in expanding knowledge within his academic discipline, in the development of policy, and most of all in the lives of his colleagues and students. We will miss both his superb intellect and stimulating fellowship.
In the coming weeks there will be opportunities for us, as the University community, to pay tribute to Martin.
Our thoughts are very much with Martin’s family.
