The University of South Wales (USW) is continuing its partnership with the Wales Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce (WBCC) after signing a new two-year strategic alliance.

Under the terms of the new agreement, USW and the WBCC will continue working closely to pave the way for stronger bilateral trade and commerce between Wales and Bangladesh, while also benefiting students and its members.

 “WBCC and USW have a strong track record of collaboration and we look forward to working closely with the University of South Wales over the next two years”, said Dilaborh Hussain, Chair of the Wales Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce.

Sara Owen, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) added, “USW is delighted to sign a new agreement with the WBCC, which will be the next chapter in our commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between Wales and Bangladesh.”

The WBCC was established in 2008 with the recognition of the growing trade that was taking place between the United Kingdom and Bangladesh.

The potential membership turnover of Welsh Bangladeshi businesses in Wales is estimated to be more than £3 billion.  Among other things, WBCC aims to promote, protect and strengthen bilateral trade and commerce between Bangladesh and the Wales.
