USW retains HR Excellence in Research award
02-05-2018
The University of South Wales (USW) has retained its HR Excellence in Research Award acknowledging the support it provides to researchers.
The award acknowledges the University’s work to ensure compliance with the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, as well as the University’s alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.
The award is granted by the European Commission and is overseen by Vitae. USW originally achieved the award in 2014. An external panel formally reviews the award every four years.
Dr Louise Bright, Director of Research and Business Engagement at USW, said: “We are really pleased to retain the HR Excellence in Research award. Retaining our award is important and we are committed to continue to improve our research support and environment.”
USW is one of 97 institutions in the UK and 310 in Europe who have achieved the HR Excellence in Research Award.
