The University of South Wales has been listed in the top 50 education institutions in the UK for transformative digital teaching.
The EDTech 50 list, compiled by national body EDTech UK, shines a spotlight on the people, projects and products that are enhancing teaching and learning in our schools.
Matthew Pullen, Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education at USW, and Apple Distinguished Educator, attended the launch event for the EDTech UK top 50 in London last week.
He said: “As a University we were recognised for the work our students do in developing their own digital skills as future teachers, but also the work they do out in the partner schools in supporting existing staff and their students in the understanding and value of technology in the classroom.
“As we embark on going 1:1 digital on our courses, this is great national recognition for the work we are doing and cements USW firmly as THE place to go for teacher education, in a world moving rapidly towards technology enhanced learning.
“This recognition is thoroughly deserved by the students who actively develop their own skills and promote the impact of technology on teaching and learning in schools.”
