The support that the University of South Wales (USW) offers researchers has been recognised by the HR Excellence in Research Award.
USW retained the award following a six year review, which acknowledges our work to ensure compliance with the
Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
It also recognises USW’s alignment with the principles of the
European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of
Researchers.
Louise Bright, Director of Research and Business Engagement, said:
“Our
research successes have been due to the hard work and talent of our academic
staff and postgraduate research students and supporting these colleagues is
vitally important to ensure continued growth in research. We are really pleased to
have retained the award and for our work in this area to be recognised.”
The award is granted by the European Commission and is overseen by
Vitae. USW originally achieved the award in 2014, and has retained it after its
six year review.
There are currently 100 Vitae UK member institutions with the
Award.
