Construction Project Management undergraduate Kathryn Stuckey has been named South Wales regional winner of the Association of Women in Property (WiP) National Student Awards 2022.
Kathryn will now go forward to join 12 other regional winners for the UK awards, which will be held in London in September, when the National Winner will be announced.
Kathryn was one of four students from the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science who were regional finalists, they also included Natasha Matthews, who is studying Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management; Kalliopi Theodosouli, who is on the BSc Civil Engineering course; and Abigail Barnes, who is a BEng Civil Engineering undergraduate.
The Women in Property National Student Awards provides students with the opportunity to promote their capabilities within industry and to enhance their industry network, creating long-term links with potential future employers. Students have the opportunity to showcase their course work, challenge and widen their industry knowledge, and to develop their interpersonal skills.
“We are delighted with Kathryn’s success, and are hoping she will return from London with the national award,” said Miranda Thomas, Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying and Project Management.
