We’ve got a number of recommended talks scheduled throughout the day to give you an insight into life on campus.
Start your day by finding out what the University of South Wales has to offer you in our Welcome Talk followed by the your Subject Talk. You can also find out about student finance and student life.

How much will university cost and how will you pay for it? Get a practical insight into financial support, such as student loans and grants, how and when to apply for funding, and extra sources of income.
Our students share their experiences of life at the University of South Wales and studying at our Newport City Campus, so you know what it’s really like to study here – they’ll answer any questions you may have too.
You’ve probably got lots of questions about becoming a student at the University of South Wales – that’s great! At our Open Day there will be just the right people to answer them.
Subject advice on our courses, student finance, accommodation, careers, disability, dyslexia support and applying to university are all covered as part of the day. Simply drop into our Information Fair anytime throughout the day for a chat with our staff. The Information Fair is located just behind the registration desks so you will see it when you arrive.
Note: Subject area advice stands are only available after your subject talk has finished.
Our friendly student ambassadors will take you on a tour of Newport City Campus and our Accommodation. This is your chance to see our facilities, ask questions about day-to-day university life and see where you could be living. Each tour usually takes around 25-30 minutes and you can book your place on these in the Information Fair.

There’s no parking at the campus but parking in the Kingsway Centre is discounted by 20% for students, staff and visitors to the University. Just make sure you validate your ticket at reception.
If you are travelling by train, please alight at Newport train station.

Friars Walk is a new £100m retail development which opened in November 2015. It is right opposite Newport City Campus so its really easy to get to. Why not take a look when you come along to the Open Day?As well as an eight-screen multiplex cinema, you’ll be able to enjoy food with friends at Nandos, Gourmet Burger Kitchen or Chiquito, and enjoy a spot of retail therapy in any of the 75 shops, including brands like New Look, River Island, Topshop and Debenhams.
