We’re very experienced at supporting postgraduate students and are aware of the particular issues they face. Our support encompasses online, face-to-face and self-help material.
Working closely with the study skills team, we have a strong team of information librarians who can help with everything from assignments to theses.
We try and encourage our postgraduate students to pop in and say hello in their first few weeks. Most are reassured by the support we can offer them, and the difference it can make to their academic studies.
If you have particular needs, you can book a one-to-one appointment with a study skills tutor.
You can do this at any campus, the one where you study or whichever is closest to home. We also offer online support via email or Skype.
Many courses contain an element of maths, statistics or numeracy and this can be a challenging aspect for lots of postgraduate students.
Sometimes the best way is to talk to someone! Our specialist maths tutor offers informal tutorials in a friendly, relaxed environment.
During the Autumn and Spring terms, we hold scheduled workshops at Treforest campus.
We offer a range of free workshops that focus on certain aspects of academic development from referencing skills, reflective writing to report writing.
If you would like help finding information for your assignment or dissertation you can make an appointment with your Librarian.
