When I reached the final year, I found myself doing things that would have scared the life out of me in my first year!
Choosing to study Psychology at USW
Jack Erasmus graduated from BSc (Hons) Psychology with first-class Honours.
"After coming to the Psychology Open Day, I knew this was where I wanted to study. I loved how the campus was quite small, in the sense that it was all together and easy to get around. Plus, it seemed like an engaging and supportive environment.
My favourite aspect of studying Psychology was the sheer diversity. I loved learning about the various areas and examining the interesting ways in which they connected and sometimes opposed each other.
The three years were so cleverly set out. I never felt pushed - you naturally progress and become more competent as the course progresses. When I reached the final year, I found myself doing things that would have scared the life out of me in my first year!
The student support was just amazing. The lecturers really put themselves out and made sure that everyone was doing their utmost best. If you were falling behind somewhere, they helped you pick it up."

- The student support – it’s second to none.
- Discovering the area, I loved the most and developing an insight into what’s it like to be a Clinical Psychologist.
- The opportunities offered through Psychology Plus. My placement in the Behaviour Analysis Clinic for children with Autism helped significantly in terms of career and personal development – as well as being personally enjoyable and rewarding.
