D27: English Language and Literature

Research from University of South Wales submitted into English Language and Literature comprises work from staff in the English Research Unit in the School of Design and Digital.

The Unit’s distinctive strengths are grouped into several informal research clusters: Creative Writing; Critical-creative Writing; Welsh Writing in English; Women’s Writing; Textuality and Cultural Spaces; and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

While research in this area ranges from the medieval period to the present day, it also has a particularly strong commitment to the south Wales valleys in which the University is situated.
