The University of South Wales is top in Wales and joint top in the UK for student satisfaction in Physical Geography and Environmental Science courses (National Student Survey 2017).
The survey covers all aspects of the undergraduate experience ranging from the quality of teaching, feedback from assessments and the opportunity to develop personal skills to boost future employment prospects.
"This is a credit to the Geography team whose passion for the subject area and commitment to the student experience knows no bounds," said Suzanne Jenkins, Geography course leader.
"Our students are amazing and we thank them for their active support and engagement in the subject area which has led to this great result. Royal Geographical Society accreditation this year has also reinforced the quality of USW's Geography courses."
She added: "The opportunity to engage in community projects, work in first class laboratories and visit incredible locations such as Hong Kong, Santorini, Uganda or our very own heritage coastline, ensures that they are building the skills necessary for the world of work."
"I loved my time at USW doing Geography," said Jenny Crooks, who graduated with the MGeog award this year.
"So proud that they are top in the UK for student satisfaction! If I could do it all again, I would."
A good year, now onto the next one!
