USW ACCA student Grace received the highest aggregate score in the Wales in her final Professional level exams.

Grace’s highest marks were 77% in each of her P3 Business Analysis & P4 Advanced Financial Management papers. "I was so happy when I got my marks, which I also I'd completed my studies and was finally qualified as a Chartered Accountant. The classes at USW focus a lot on previous exam questions, and this undoubtably helped prepare me. I was actually confident going into the exams!" Grace said.

Grace studied at the Newport City Campus whilst working at Arcadis Consulting. Grace adds: “I enjoyed the interactive nature of the course, being able to discuss the exam scenarios with other students in tutorial and getting detailed feedback on my classwork and coursework. This helped me to improve on weaker areas and think more widely around the problems I encountered. It was also useful to hear about other students’ work experiences as there is a slightly different focus/challenges in every workplace depending on the industry worked in. I wouldn’t have had exposure to this if I had studied remotely.”

"I'm still undecided about what to do in the future. My role at the moment is in the financial accounting department at Arcadis, so I'd like to possibly do a secondment to another area to broaden my experience. With what I've learnt throughout my ACCA studies, and now reaching qualified status, I have a lot more options to progress my career."
